By joining the Left Alliance, you’ll be helping us to build a humane Finland, where everyone’s worth is indivisible and where it’s possible to make a living from your own work. Let’s build a humane Finland together!

The Left Alliance is defined by its members. By becoming a member, you can influence the party’s policies. Choose the way that suits you best: active involvement in local branches, attending events, or simply becoming a supporting member.

As a new member of the Left Alliance, you’ll receive a three-month subscription to the digital edition of Kansan Uutiset as a gift. Kansan Uutiset is the voice of the left in Finland.

It is important to us that a person’s financial situation should not be a barrier to joining the party. For this reason, membership fees are structured progressively according to income, with twelve different fee brackets. The lowest membership fee for the Left Alliance is €10 per year.

Membership fees for 2026 are determined as follows.

Decisions on party matters are made by members within organised groups. However, you do not need to be a member to get involved with the Left Alliance. Voters, supporters and anyone else interested in getting involved or simply enjoying each other’s company are also welcome to contribute their ideas and have their say.

Informal activities, various groups, discussion circles, hobby groups, environmental activism, social evenings and other relaxed get-togethers are all welcome ways of promoting justice, sustainable development and a pleasant living environment.
